The Virtual Carrier Wing 3 is our primary DCS Naval Wing. Our role is to create a home for four squadrons with 3 different airframes to perform multi-tasked missions and robust training scenarios. We primarily fly off the USS George Washington.

About the VCVW-3

The Virtual Carrier Air Wing 3 brings together pilots from four different squadrons working together to accomplish a mission. The VCVW-3 currently is home to three different airframes that are flown in DCS. The airframe are as follows: the F/A-18C Hornet in VFA-131, the F-14B Tomcat in VFA-143, and the AV-8B+ Harrier II in VMA-231. The VFA-106 VTS is our dedicated training squadron for all airframes and all Navy modules fly under this squadron during training sorties. We accept pilots with all skill levels and have a robust training plan to get you up to speed to survive in a combat environment.

From the Commander

This Wing is dedicated primarily to bring people together who share the same interest: flying USN aircraft in a simulated combat environment and having fun doing it! Our goal is to make our aviators extremely proficient in their naval airframe of choice and then employ that airframe in challenging but fun combat scenarios. If you want a place where you’re able to fly, learn, meet great people, make friends, and most importantly have fun, then we encourage you to fill out the recruiting form.
